Participant's Waiver, Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement for "Hot Chili and Cool Cars" on September 19, 2026. This form is a contract with legal consequences. Read carefully before signing. (By registering online, you agree to this waiver). In consideration of the acceptance of this registration form for the event listed, the participant(s) name on the form freely agrees to makes the following contractual representations and agreements: 1. The participant named has read the official rules and eligibility standards and understands the nature and content of the activities involved, and any potential dangers incidental to engaging in the activities. 2. The participant named hereby voluntarily releases, discharges, waives and relinquishes any and all actions or causes of action for personal injury (including death) or property damage occurring to himself/herself arising as a result of participating in the said program or any incidental activities. 3. The participant named agrees that under no circumstances will he/she or his/her heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns prosecute or present for, or on behalf of, any of their officers, employees or volunteers for any of said or similar causes of action, including those which arise by the negligence of the Chamber or City, or of any said persons, whether passive or active. IT IS THE INTENTION OF THIS INSTRUMENT TO EXEMPT AND RELEASE THE ROCKLIN AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND THE CITY OF ROCKLIN FROM LIABILITY FOR PERSONAL INJURY, PROPERTY DAMAGE OR WRONGFUL DEATH ALLEGED OR CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE. 4. The participant named further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce and City of Rocklin, their officers, directors, employees and volunteers, from any claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses or liabilities arising out of his/her participation and/or the participation of his/her officers, employees or volunteers in said activities. 5. The participant named acknowledges that he/she has been fully and completely advised of the potential dangers incidental or engaging in the activities, and fully and voluntarily assumes the risks of engaging in the program and activities. 6. The participant named has read this form carefully and is fully aware of the legal consequences of signing it. The Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce and the City of Rocklin do not have or provide medical or accident insurance for persons involved in programs sponsored by the Chamber or the City. 7. Disclaimer: By attending this event, you are acknowledging that an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 exists in any public place where people are present. By attending, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19 and agree not to hold the Rocklin Area Chamber of Commerce; or any of their affiliates, directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors, or volunteers liable for any illness or injury. No Refunds. The event will take place rain or shine.
